End Homelessness St. John's (EHSJ) is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 St. John’s Homeless Point-in-Time (PiT) Count Mid-Point Update. The PiT Count, a snapshot of homelessness in our community, reveals that at least 373 people experienced homelessness in St. John’s on the chosen night in November 2025. When we combine this with other local data, we estimate this number is closer to 469 people minimum. Over the course of 2025, an estimated minimum of 1,500 unique individuals experienced homelessness in St. John’s.

This PiT Count shows that homelessness continues to rise in our community, with an overall increase of 17% compared to just one year ago. This emphasizes a continued need for committed and sustainable investments in the housing and homelessness sector.

The PiT Count, a snapshot of homelessness in our community, reveals that at least 313 people experienced homelessness in St. John’s on the chosen night in November 2024. When we combine this with other local data, we estimate this number is closer to 400 people minimum. Over the course of 2024, an estimated minimum of 1,400 unique individuals experienced homelessness in St. John’s.
